great pics, thanks.

interesting to see all the problems with the watch, but, good to see they were resolved to your satisfaction by AP.

Great review-- really sorry to hear about your QC issues. Now I'm starting at my AP Diver wondering what I've missed...

Great work, thanks for sharing.

It's interesting that my Diver had some of the exact deficiencies as yours. So, it's possible that these were systemic rather than isolated issues. APSC is truly great and they remedied everything for me as well.

At the end of the day, the Diver is such a great piece that imperfections or not, I love it and it puts a smile on my face every time I look at it.

Appreciate the thoughtful review. Sorry to hear you had some difficulties. Sounds like you got some resolution, and have not held it against AP. Enjoy your beautiful piece!

Very nice review and great pics! I agree with most of your review except on comfort factor where I will probably give it a 6/10. It's not a watch I will like to wear for consecutive days due to the top heaviness.

At note to add here about the new Diver. While the open caseback is nice, I do not like the matted dial of the new SS black diver.I think this version that you review has a much nicer dial with the glossy "wet" look. Under appropriate lighting, the dial with the striking white gold hands literally ** pops ***.

Thanks for sharing.

Sam, interesting that you had the same issues... must have been a batch and its crazy that more than one of these got out.

Ben, thanks for the comments! I guess for me top heavy is not much of a factor unless it is VERY top heavy. I am used to wearing heavy watches so the Diver didn't seem overly top heavy for me. As for the new Divers with no more wet look on the black dials that is good to know! Honestly I didn't even noticed that the new ones didn't have this "feature" anymore .

I liked your reviews of this watch and the 26400so. If you could only buy one of these which would you choose?
