Places in Dallas to buy used

Hello everyone,

I've read many posts on TRF and I appreciate all the information available, and the willingness of those of you that share it on a regular basis. Thank you.

I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and after much debate and research, I've decided on an Explorer I. (The SD is a very close second). Can anyone recommend a good place in Dallas to buy used? I would be interested in buying off the TRF Classifieds, but I haven't seen an Explorer since I began looking.

Thanks,

Chris

I am not sure about Dallas, so I cant help you much there but I do say if your going used strongly consider buying from one of your buddies here. I bought my first from a well known grey dealer when I first signed on here but now my second watch came from TRF and couldnt be happier, and saved me some coin too..

You might also check Watches, etc. in Oklahoma City. They have a website that's updated regularly. I bought my Date from them.

I can strongly recommend Bob Wingate at Wingates and also www.tic-tock.com . They are based in Dallas and he is a great guy that I trust more than any other secondary market dealer. I would suggest going on his website and getting the phone number and giving him a call to set up a time to meet. He has more inventory than any other dealer I know of, so give him a try.

Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange has 100's of pre-owned Rolex's. They have in house watchmakers, Rolex certified too and provide a 2 year warranty and an apprasial for all pre-owned Rolex's. I have bought 2 from them. The are off Royal Ln. and Stemmons. Very classy place.

Wingates and DG&S are great places with really nice inventories. Prices are somewhat higher than buying from someone on TRF but they are local and very nice to deal with.

I just went to the website, and WOW! Now THAT is an inventory.

I have always used Bernard Watch, but if these guys are as good as you say I may have to give them a shot as well.

Hi Chris,

I've been a lurker here on this great forum but thought I'd jump in to offer my 2 cents since you're in my area. I think the best deals to be had are from sellers on forums such as this one who have plenty of good references. I would use the local area ADs as a place to look and touch but not to buy if $$$ is a factor.

Good luck and make it a good experience!

de Boulle Diamond & Jewelry on Preston Road is an authorized dealer for ROLEX and oftentimes has a great selection of pre owned Rolex watches.

Though Eiseman's may be the largest Rolex AD in the metroplex, they still have quite a few pre-owned models next to their Rolex boutique

I've never been before so I cannot vouch, but Duff's Fine Jewelry in Flower Mound is allegedly the largest pre-owned Rolex dealer in the metroplex.

That sounds familiar, I think I've seen billboards for it on I35 East.
