I was told not to take a good watch, so I took this one:

I bought the bracelet in Cusco.

Wonderful experience! We are looking into possibly hiking the Inca trail into Machu Picchu 1 -2 day hike and staying at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge but the boat looks interesting. Would you mind sending posting the information to the outfitters you hired?

We are looking at this company.... http://www.aquaexpeditions.com/

Many Thanks!

Leon,

We booked the Amazon cruise on the Aqua. The tour operator was Ker & Downey. They are not cheap but they do provide a wonderful 5 star product.

I will tell you that the Inca Trail is actually a 4 day hike and the Sanctuary Lodge has only a few rooms. We stayed at the Inkaterra Hotel, which is in the town below Machu Picchu and it was a fabulous place.

It was a fantastic trip, Nathan. We had a lot of fun along the way. I've whittled it down to about 500 decent photos, after eliminating the blurry pics and most duplicates.

Thanks for the information!
We prefer 5 star products when it comes to travel and are well aware of the costs. Attention to details, exotic destinations and planning are all well worth the price.
