im so confuse on my 1675 gilt dial...

1.case back sign from 1960s,Dial r grilt in gold letters but dial below sing only "SWISS" not Double swiss and not minute ring dial and not SWiSS only with underline dial****

2.Patina in greenish and still shine

3.Hv no serial no.

i ever posted this watch on this page and have many collectors to discussion some people said correct and some people said not correct

Thanks abd enjoy to discussion my watch again

Not sure about the dial, but you stole that baby, I love the eagle beak crown guards, my favorite sports model.

Not much good to say about this one...sorry. Refinished or aftermarket dial, poor case, severe rust, replaced hands and bezel insert. The bezel might be the original, early 1960s style but it is hard for me to judge this by the photos.

For 2500 seems pretty good. I rather have this than a clean datejust.

Are you sure it's not one of the last "swiss" only dials? that has been re lumed and or touched up JP ?

Doesn't look like any I've seen Mike. If you have one, email it to me. The fonts are very "shakey" on this dial.

If I remember correctly, it was determined that the dial was not genuine in this other thread. It does have the same photos that are found in this thread which makes it that much more interesting.

Thanks JP. must be coming from same maker if same fonts. I have one I will take a close up of and compare. I have had two that came from old owners and fonts were similar but not same. M

Easy to tell now JP, side by side the Crown is not the tall weird one, the serifs are totally off and the spacing and style of the GMT-Master is as well.
I should not be taking quick glances without my glasses on :-)

Given the fact it's the same pictures, as a worst case scenario, this could be a Chinese manufacturer rep making fake watches and running them across the resident experts here to see if they pass inspection/receive approval.

The duplicate pictures, coupled with the fact that both OP's have ~11 posts to their name, leave me skeptical.

Interesting theory, but why post the same pictures instead of new ones based on a second iteration?

It also looks like the OP was saying (or trying to say) that he posted it here before and it sparked interesting debate. Perhaps he just lost his old account info and PW?

I never agreed with any theory. I realize now that the o.p. Is trying to get opinions again. I am not crazy about this dial & would stay away from it. That's my two cents.
