AT 8500 not jumping anymore...

I had sent my Aqua Terra to Omega last year as it was running very fast, but apparently not magnetized. It took almost three months to get it back. Once I received the watch I noticed that the crown didn't feel he same when setting the time, but everything was working so I didn't want to send it out again.

Last night I went to wind and set the watch and all of a sudden the hour hand stopped jumping from hour to hour. It is now a "smooth" rotation, I know there is a problem. I'm planning on sending it back again today however I'm out of warranty at this point.... Bummer, really love this watch and I'd rather not be without it for so long again, not to mention the potential repair costs.

When you say out of warranty, I'm not clear on what you mean. The new watch warranty is four years. However, If Omega serviced the watch, it should be covered for two years after service. Aside from shipping, there shouldn't be any repair costs.

Three year warranty, and a service wasn't performed, just a regulation I'm assuming.

Dropped it off and they said it should be somewhat of an easy fix, and won't take too long. The plus side is that I tried on a DJII again, a watch that I thought I could never like... and I was shocked at how nice it wore. Well, only 5 more years until I'm forty (agreed age of next watch purchase with the wife)

Hate to hear this and I hope all gets resolved. Quick question though. When the hour hand stopped jumping does the date still change? I'm just asking out of curiosity.

Thanks, yes the date did change, I didn't realize at first that the hour hand wasn't jumping so I did rotate the hands all the way around and the date changed at midnight.

My guy thinks that it should be a quick fix, and I hope he's right..
