Very Unhappy with Bergeon 8899-S10

Decided to upgrade to Bergeon's non magnetic 8899 model screwdrivers. The alloy heads are very brittle and break with very little force. After sharpening the #100 3 times the first day my only choice was to swap to the regular steel heads.

Pretty disappointing.

I like Bergeon product but certain items Horotec is better. I bought these last year and they're worth the $$......

Get a set of VOH screwdrivers. I have Bergeron regular set, they are ok but looking to upgrade and VOH seem better made but of course more expensive.

I was looking at these last month.

Otto Frei says those drivers are not as strong as the standard or SS drivers. But they don't say how much weaker they are, which makes it hard to gauge how to limit to the right applications.

Comparatively speaking, how much more brittle were they in your experience? What do you think they might be useful for? And, what's totally out of the question?

Bergeon is a good name in tools but some tools are good and some not, I don't use their screwdrivers but use horotec myself. Blades if too brittle are of no use.

If you have a problem with your screwdrivers becoming magnetic then don't look at the screwdrivers. Demagnetise movements before working on them and if doing lots of quartz then keep one set just for them.
