Does Panerai send a gift after purchase?

I just purchased my first new Panerai, a PAM00392. I love it!

My question is does Panerai send a gift after you send them the registration card?

Omega and Breitling have done so for me this past year.

Thanks.
Richard

Panerai rarely gives presents! Only when buying expensive models :-)

I once bought at the NYC boutique and they gave 3 free straps, but I don't think they send gifts after purchase.

My first one, back in 2001 -- I sent in the warranty sticker provided for that purpose, and I got a hat in return.

You can usually negotiate at least one free strap from a boutique, depending on how pushy you are, perhaps even more. It is a strange experience though because there was a point in time when you wanted to stay on their good side so you could get on a 'list' for the new SE pieces. I'm afraid to say though that with the softening watch market, there are really no longer any hard to get pieces.

Other items I have received from boutiques include hats, shirts and key chains.

Not to get this thread off subject, but in today's Panerai market, there is really no reason to buy a watch from the boutique as the market is so soft that you can easily get one on the pre-owned market. The 634 may be a temporary exception, but even that will be able to be had at or below retail soon.

It is all about you and boutiqie staff or manager. Once you build up relationship, small gift was their token of appreciation...

If you bought it at the boutique, just stop by and ask for some swag. They have a lot of little things like that hat, keychain etc. I'm sure you could get something. But as a poster said before it's always good to ask when you are purchasing.

Never received a gift after sending the registration card. Although my purchases were through an AD, not a boutique.

I bought my 359 in Chicago a few back, and was able to get a free strap and an umbrella. Like others have said, ask when you buy and provided you've not been a jerk, they'll normally give away a couple of nice things.
