Bracelet authentication?
Was sold to me as authentic, from a well trusted user at another forum (as part of a trade, needed something to even it out, and this was offered as cash wasn't an option for him) but still, just want to be sure. The engravings are really rather sharp, and the bracelet 'feels' really nice and buttery.. anyway, any help you can give determining whether it is legit or not would be most appreciated. Cheers (hope this is the right section.. seems weird to be posting in the 'watch out!' section ) EDIT: Read the rules, and this may be the wrong section eh? "6. Any allegation that a watch is a 'fake' must be supported with reason/s otherwise the post will be removed forthwith without notice." I cannot meet that, I'm asking for assistance, and i've no idea if it is fake or not.. |

It looks nice. I believe it is also O.K. to put here as you were unsure of the authenticity. By the way, welcome to TRF since this is your first post. I hope that you get involved and stick around. There are a lot of good people here and knowledge to learn. What model Rolex (s) do you have?

Run....run....run........:thum bsdow
the coronet is wrong on the folding clasp. The LINKS are not correct for a 7206-genuine 7206 have folded links. The springbar connector is not correct. The folding clasp number does not correspond with the number on the first link. FAKE!!!! Stan. |

Wow. I knew I was out of my league with bracelets. I was looking at the numbers and codes and believing that made it genuine.
Thanks Stan, I am truly humbled. I will have to learn from the master. Terry Newton

That Z10 code would indicate that the clasp was made in Oct of '97. I don't think they were making riveted bracelets back then.

This chart might help:
My Rolex Report (which I don't think is correct) says that a 78753 corresponds to a TT Oyster bracelet and that 7206 is a 18K oyster bracelet. The chart above says it came off of a Sub, an EXP or a GMT. Too many question marks for my liking. |

Allan:
Where did you get that chart? That would come in handy for me as I am a novice at bracelets. They are a mystery to me along with Tudors. I leave the Tudors to Stan and Steve and the bracelets to Springer and Stan. This chart would make a nice reference guide for me. Terry Newton

I sent Mullholland a message last week on that band or a band like it with the same band numbers. It contains two different band part numbers and the clasp number is from a two tone band clasp number from an 80's vintage band.
This band appears to be a counterfeit band. Also, 7206's should be folded link bands. The links on the pictured band appear counterfeit, and the band is a mismatch of part numbers. I'd run as fast as Forest from this band. Stan, I just saw your post, after my reply. Looks like a bad dream. Also, if you exam the scrollwork around the crown (first photo) you'll notice that this is typical of a counterfeit as it is different than that on a genuine band. 7206 was available in full stainless steel with folded links, Swiss made.

The 7206 does have rivit links, as I had a "memory moment" and confused this band with the 7836 band which has folded links. But, the rivit links in the depicted band are thicker than those found on the genuine band and are typical of the counterfeits being produced.

Datejust band
Hello all,
Brand new to this forum but find it to be a wealth of info. I recently got into Rolexes with my Dad's Datejust, although Im just curious about bracelet authenticity. The clasp embossing says "RBGSFRKED SNSAWABE <ROLEX> D 12 STEELNOX 62523N.18" This seems like gibberish. Is it legit? Thanks |

also the 7206 does have folded links. it is common that bracelets get Frankenstein'd together when the parts are not available in a timely manor. |

My uncle from Kuwait bought one of these watches from a genuine dealer. I would say this is one hundred percent real as kuwait a rich country in oil and gold do not do fakes from my own personal experience. |
