Take care of the movement

Guys , how often you should take care of the Rolex mechanism to have it going well for baby you barely wear. How many days should you leave it alone before you wind it Thnaks for the tips

Even if you wear it alternate days for around 10-12 hours per day, you should be fine.

From full wind to dead stop, a Rolex can easily go for at least 47 hours. And if it does stop 'cause you haven't worn it for a certain period of time, just let it be until you decide to put it on again. At that time, setting the watch will take a few seconds.

Well myself think about once a month will be fine, modern oils do not solidify like the old oils.Just a few winds will do,just to keep the oil on all the working parts parts.

I agree with Padi. If you don't wear it very often, just an occasional full wind every month or so should be fine. But why have a good watch if you're not going to wear it?

Rockrolex: The problem here is that we (I am guilty!) own sometimes a nice array of timepieces that we can not wear constantly. For instance; I do travel a lot; so my Rolex 2T Sub, Omega Seamaster and Panerai Luminor Marina take most wrist time. ExpII, DayDates (118238 and 1803), Cartier Roadster, IWC Aquatimer, Corum Bubble Casino (my kid's WOW! watch) and 2T Datejust are not on my wrist as much as I wish. To me, I still do not have enough watches....hehehehehehe!!!

I fully understand, Gerardo. I'm as guilty as everyone else. But I do keep my unworn watches on winders so I don't have to keep setting them. All of mine have one or more complications, and it's a real pain to have to keep setting them. I will say that I do try to wear each of them at least once a month or once every other month, even if it's just for a change of pace.

And I agree - you can't have enough watches.
