SS/Plat YM on Daytona Bracelet???

Anybody ever tried it? I LOVE the SS/Plat YM (polished case, neutral color, cool bezel. etc.), but I could never get used to the Looooong SELs.
Sold mine because of it. I wonder if the Daytona 78490 bracelet (SEL, solid polished middle link, new clasp) would fit. Rolex is so keen on standards - I think there's a good chance it might.

PS: They never repeated the long SEL design (except maybe Masterpiece) - maybe it didn't work so well for them as a whole.

All thoughts welcomed and appreciated

Brian, the idea is certainly a good one. I am not sure if it will fit though.

I did put the OEM Daytona clasp on my YM though, I really love it.

Daren -

I just saw, in the last week, that Rolex has begun shipping the new SS/Plat YM with the new clasp! (I really like the new clasp too)

Do you have any aversion (sp?) to the long SELs on the YM?

How did you get a clasp for it in the US?

Have a buddy in England that got it for me from his AD. I really love it. As far as the lugs go, I actually like it because it seems to make the watch sit flatter and wear larger. Keep in mind, I wear a Panerai 90% of the time, but I am a fan of the case design. But the differences in taste is one of the things that I love about this hobby.

Dman-

I want to find out if it's possible to retro. I've got no problem spending the small fortune on the Daytona bracelet it it fits. Other than the long SELs - I think it's the best all around Rolex out there. I have a great grey marketer in the ATL (could probably get me the parts).

I have pretty small wrists and the SELs make it stick out. (picture of the one I had and sold)

I hear ya, and see what you mean. I have about a 7 1/2 inch wrist so it does sit flatter on my wrist. I also agree that it is the best all around Rolex, though like with many things, YMMV.
