Ed's Wet Sub.....
I think my watch falls into this area. It is a 16800 case.. I am the original owner.. after service 6 months ago.. and vacation last week.. water somehow got in :-(. Now I am on the hunt for a new face (or good resurfacing company) and a new date dial. Who should I go to for the face resurfacing?
Thanks, Ed <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/flyboyed/Edssub/photo?authkey=S-IPq3BoTVM#5225536271943601314"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/flyboyed/SITVjaIeDKI/AAAAAAAAKtE/Nx2BkvFfGXs/s144/DSC04824.JPG" /></a> pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/flyboyed...ey=S-IPq3BoTVM |

Time Delay in Dallas might have a new dial, or they can have it refinished like new.

I'd go for a new dial and hands...they'll go too eventually! That's what happened to my Expy II!!
It's not as expensive as you think...and looks better that a refinish job!

Ed, I would send it to one of the Rolex Factory Service centers and get an estimate.
Those parts that are ruined should be replaced with genuine Rolex parts......

Obviously a rolex should never let water in. I think the service you did 6 months ago wasn't done properly. Maybe they opened it up and didn't seal it or pressure test it properly. They should be responsible!
