Nice watch and a bonus that it comes with in own in house movement.
Perhaps we could have a picture of the back of the watch. So that we can see the movement.

My apologise, I thought that all the Portuguese range came with both their own in house movement and the sapphire crystal back. So that you could see the movement.
Perhaps its only the Perpetual Calendars that have them.
Cheers

very nice watch indeed........I am also looking for a IWC for my own birthday present.. is IWC Chrono Auto 3706 just as good? I can't find any picture of this particular watch to post here.

hmm.. ok I found this on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE:IT&ih=001

Does anyone know if they use the same movement? Any comment on this watch?

I like the IWC Pilots Chrono..

The Valjoux 7750 base is a popular movement to use in Chronographs and will give many years of satisfaction..

The same movement is used in some of the Omega Speedmasters and Seamaster Chronos..

Will it have the longevity of a rolex or IWC inhouse movement? If not why not?

Thanks

Ok, I will graduate with my Masters soon, and for that I want a real sports watch, As of now I want either an Omega "great white" (the white GMT SMP) or a white explorer II. But in a few years I will have my PhD. I think I want a classic dress watch for that. As of today I want either this portuguese or the automatic which has the IWC inhouse movement. Either in Gold or SS:

or

And as reference the Chrono:
