So, good to see lot of VP's on TRF!

Fun read. Thank you for sharing.

Coincidentally, a friend started to talk Daytona when he became VP a few years ago... I did not know it was a rule! Ahha

When I worked on Wall Street, first year investment banking analysts were getting $60,000+ bonuses and buying their own Daytonas. The only unwritten rule was not to wear a luxury watch until year 2 in the workforce.

At my dad's firm (smaller PE shop) a VP would bonus at at least $300,000 and that is on top of his $150,000 in base salary... they are all younger than 35 and tend to wear APs

I had no idea how much I had in common with Wall Street partners. Describes my daily routine well...
"The power move is to have a few watches stuffed away at home, and then, rarely, if ever, wear one. When you control time, you don’t need to know what time it is."

But I confess to wearing my Apple Watch on runs.

That was my point. Did you read the entire article? Towards the bottom it talks about being so important that you don't "need" to know the time. Mark has made reference to this in the past.

'When you control time, you don’t need to know what time it is.'

My favourite quote. I guess I am not there yet.
