My AD called to see if I was interested. I passed as well. I have spent enough on watches the last two years.

Neither. So many better watches for the same money.

To be honest I kinda like the P, thinking the date is less visible in real, only problem I don't consider it worth 5 times the 5711, so I'll stick with my order of that piece, also my watch budget is dry for a few months...

Pass on both, tombstone design seems appropriate yet it saddens me to mark the death of a company I once so dearly respected years ago. :(

Interesting. I assume there have been a series of watches from PP that have led you to this conclusion. What was the last watch you liked? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

No worries, still love mechanical timepieces and continuing my journey elsewhere. Perhaps it is also due to wearing said timepieces often, including daily beaters, and so need durability, reliability, and a supporting service department that handles things in a timely manner. Patek is well-aware of the many problems and it seems they are now beginning to work to solve things. May revisit the marque in five or ten years. For now, they have to swim upstream as it were to earn back when they lost with many collectors worldwide. My ex did recently get the Diamond Ribbon and that looked to be a very nice timepiece.
