Dent in GMT case: repair or new
Hey TRF-members,
Got a small dent in the case of my gmt. Normally it comes with blue-n-red bezel but exchanged it with an aftermarket blue bezel. During the changing i noticed the dent and it scratched my blue which offcourse isnt a problem as it cost 18 bucks. BUT, i do want to put my original and black bezel back in the future so i need this repaired. I went to AD in Amsterdam but they said i need to order a new one... What do you think? Can it be fixed and to whom should i send it as i dont trust the average watchshop. Thanks for the help/advice! |

Dent in GMT case: repair or new
Best to replace the bezel. At first I thought the actual watch case was dented based off the title of the tread, which is a problem. Bezel replacement isn't too bad.
Edit: To avoid confusion -Bezel is the steel ring -Bezel insert is the coloured ring that sits inside the bezel -Case is what houses the movement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Having options is always a good thing. You can buy a new one (about $200) or fix yours. With the right tools, fixing your bezel would be very easy.

Have it repaired. It should take no more than 5 minutes.

That's a fairly simple fix, no need for a new one

I think its an eyesore. Get it done and over with. Especially so if the dent can catch on other stuff like your sleeve.

i had the same problem, got it fixed by my wife's jewelry shop. They just polished the dent area made it smooth. I belive any watch shop with polishing skills can fix it without a problem.

Agree with the rest. Just have it fixed. Should be a fairly quick and simple fix. No need to change the whole bezel because of this.
