!675 GMT hand adjustment question.
Hi gents,
A question if I may. I have a 68/69 1675 GMT-Master with a 1575 non hacking movement. I've had the watch since 2004 after my father died. He owned the watch since it was new. The question is this: The winding crown is wound backwards to advance the hands. ie with the watch facing upwards and the winding crown on the right hand side I turn the winding crown 'anti clockwise' to advance the hands (make them go forward in time). Winding the watch manually requires the crown to be turned 'clockwise'. I have a 2015 Explorer II 216750 which I wear daily and to advance the hands the crown is turned 'clockwise' as you would expect. TBH I hadn't really noticed until I decided that my old GMT needed airing on the wrist for a week or so. The watch (GMT) was serviced in 2015. Is my GMT 1675 set up correctly? It's really got me wondering! Thanks guys Tim |

That is normal for the old model Tim.
The later model movement reversed the gearing on the direction of the hand.
