New watches?

According to my jeweler, "all new" and "redesigned" datejust watches are coming out soon (though they don't know when) and you can't specially order any of the old ones because they're all discontinued.

Can someone please provide information/links/articles about these new watches so I might read about them? Thanks.

The TT ones are already out, as well as the SS WG Bezel ones. There are all SS ones with the domed bezel on the way.......

The bracelet has been redesigned with the comfort clasp, and the links are now all solid - good news for those who like the jubilee bracelet.

If you have a AD near you go and have a look see at his display case, here in Northern Virginia I've already seen the new TT DJ male and female versions. Major change is no exterier lug holes, and the 2 modifications to the braclet is solid links and the hidden clasp (word on the street is much, much better feeling on the wrist). Thats what I've seen, now if your looking for how these new DJ's are keeping time there are a few folks here that have them.

Anyone want to add to this.. like is the movement any differant then the older version?

my 2 cents and keep the change ;o)

Same 3135 movement (as Sub, SD and YM) were used in the older DJs and still continue to be incorporated in the newer ones.

Earl, I don't know how recently you've been to the local dealers, but the 234s (SS with WG bezel) are showing up in greater numbers now. You still can't find every bracelet/dial combination yet, but the stock is increasing. I think they look great. :-)

I can vouch for the comfort of the new bracelets. My TT DJ with the new Jubilee feels like no other Rolex I own. It feels nice and smooth all the way around. I think the extra weight in the bracelet makes it feel great too.

The movements are the same as always. No change there.

Do you think that the new jubilee bracelet design will prevent the stretching of the center links (as seen on the older model)?

Good question, Steven. Yes, hopefully with the advent of all solid links, the bracelet has now been reinforced and that should prevent the infamous Jubilee S-T-R-E-T-C-H!!

Thanks, Steven....I'm pretty well oiled-up on the weekends!!

The new DJ cases have been "beefed" up around the lugs to give the appearance of a larger case. In reality, they are still on the pathetic 36 mm!!

i actullay prefer the shapes of the older datejusts.. dont like the shape of the new ones, and some of the dials i have seen are ratehr too garish for my tatstes.. seems like they did a good job of bracelt and clasp though

I partly agree and partly don't, Mamas. Yes, older DJ case at 38~39 mm would be superb with the NEW bracelets. Then we have a real cracker!!

Hey, thanks for your help so far guys. Does anyone have any pics of what this new "domed" or raised bezel looks like? My dealer also informed me about this new feature too, but I had no idea what she was talking about.
