I stole the following from Tom's website, hopefully he will be back with us soon.

(Medical update) NOTICE : It is 14 July. Over THREE YEARS of pure hell, almost finished! Saw the surgeon in Billings yesterday and he pulled the vacuum tube from my abdomen! Yee-haw! The hole (incision) in my stomach is still open but it is only about 3" across now by about 3/4" deep. I have been switched to a "wet to dry" bandage I have to change twice a day myself, BUT, I'm un-tethered! I should start working again in the next day or two. My energy levels are back up and I know some of you folks must be getting anxious even if you DO keep telling me it's 'OK'. Slowly but surely. I apologize SO MUCH for any and all delays. Believe me, I don't want to be "here"..........Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding..........

(Medical update) NOTICE : It is 3 August. Over THREE YEARS of pure hell, almost finished! The hole in my stomach is almost healed shut. The pain has been reduced to a general "soreness". I still can't do ANY exercising at all but I am working again.

I just got this off his web site! Hope he's doing alright and is progressing with healing with no complications.
