I seem to remember a wave of these threads about 2 years ago right? I mean one always pops up now and again, but wasn’t it about two years ago there was like 6-10 going simultaneously?
Anyway, i feel like this is a cyclical topic and I’d me curious to know if, after big clusters of these price threads occur the prices did actually go up. |

When the Sub date was $8000 MSRP in the first half of 2012, I was considering buying a Sub. In May or June 2012, the week before the price increase to $8550, the AD said that prices were going up the following week. I locked in at the current MSRP - 9% discount. I don't even think I actually paid for the watch and took possession of it until after the price increase. This was an AD with whom there was an established relationship. |

The US is one of the most expensive markets in the world to buy a Rolex. A price increase would just increase price disparity. This would further stimulate the grey market.

Price increases don't stimulate the grey market.
AD's do........

BINGO! Especially as the British Pound Sterling / Euro further devaluate... ECB has a crazy scheme (thx Mario) for their economy and Brexit just muddles along.

More BS. I know that there was a meeting in the Caribbean recently hosted by Rolex and no such information was disclosed. No price increases on the horizon yet.

Just wondering, in the event of a sudden price increase (like for real), can the current stock be sold at the previous price?
