Will Patek create a 5231 as the next enamel dial World Timer once the 5130 line is fully discontinued?

Any thoughts?

Well. I know that 5131r is discontinued as well but I dont think 5231 would start before the discontinuation of 5131/1p. 5231 might start after the end of 5131/1p...

My guess is enamel will be done once they discontinue the 5131P, with 5131P perhaps being discontinued in a few years? I understand the enameling process is a pain for Patek and have seen a few examples with issues on the edge of the enamel (where the enamel meets the inner ring). Perhaps the plan is for the marquetry to take over from enamel dials...

Maybe they reserve enamel for "bigger" watches like world time minute repeaters if they ever become regular production.

I can't believe they will not produce some type of enamel watch, even if more limited numbers than the 5131.

For my understanding it is official when Geneva Salon official says so... It is actually discontinued since last autumn... it is over...

I ve received mine last autumn i think yr info isn t valid,btw release and cease usually happens on tge fair not before or after

Usually yes... but it happens differently sometimes like the release of 5204/1r. If you got it on autumn you got one of the last pieces as I know. Btw I got this info during factory visit...

i ve seen this pics before i thought it s just the trick of light(the issues u ve mentioned on the edge)

btw the am watches are done by other artists AFAIk than the enamel dialed rare handcraft calatravas(which are the works of Anita Porchet and Suzanne Rohr.)

This is just one example. Focus on 18-23 and you will see the flaw in the enamel where the enamel meets the middle ring. I saw another example live (a J) that had this same issue, much more pronounced in fact. Kind of surprising these even leave the factory like this.

Now it s discontinued(with the safe assumption it will be produced as P only or other PM with bracelet)the big question that should i wear it or better to leave in the safe and check auction prices regularly.i think i rather gonna wear it
