Do you guys find that ADs are willing to deal on the price or would you expect to pay the listed retail price? Saw a champaign dial GMT chrono last weekend at a dealer, and it's got me thinking...

For its size (46.9 mm x 17 mm), it doesn’t look monstrous on the wrists (I think due to short lugs) and titanium brings down the weight to 166 grams. So it’s very comfortable. Here it is on my 6.75” wrists: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Trying it on a blue suede strap.
I bought two new straps yesterday but I could only squeeze the suede on the 19mm GS. That’s okay, the other looks great on my nomos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ooohhh that is pretty.
I tried on a GS diver but unfortunately it was a bit thick for my tastes...I would love to add a GS at some point. |

Tried on a snowflake yesterday and wow... that is a light, light watch.
Very impressed by it. I had written off the snowflake due to the size- 41mm but it fits fine. Had a few questions for the GS experts here 1) what's the WR on it? 100m? 2) how's the titanium hold up compared to SS? I thought I read somewhere titanium can also lend to bracelet stretch so they put ss sleeves in the bracelet? Any pics of well-worn, well-loved titanium GS models would be appreciated! Thanks! |

100m, and absolutely no chance of Titanium stretching, and whilst harder than SS, it will still scratch, although over time they fade due to the chemical reaction with the air creating TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide).
The pins & collars are SS, which has probably more to do with mass production cost benefits rather than concern about galvanic reaction between the two dissimilar metals. |

That is a beautiful watch, a pity that they don't make the day date complication anymore. Enjoy it

What’s a worn in ti watch look like? Does it get really dark like silver? Are there any other properties that make it unique compared to ss? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Grand Seiko's Titanium alloy is labelled as Hi Intensity – I'm not sure if it's proprietary or just a different grade instead of the generic Grade 5 the Swiss use. It polishes to a lustre like that of SS, but like any highly reflective surface when sufficiently scratched, it won't be as lustrous. If such concerns are your primary focus, then you be better off looking at something ceramic. |

The more I read about, and see pictures of GS watches the more I'm starting to want one. But after a couple of recent watch purchases I think I'll have to wait awhile, that's unless I come across a attractively priced used one, Quartz would do.
