I own 79220R 79220B and 79220N , will also own the new 58 when available, as far as the 79220N going down in value no chance in my opinion, smile dial still wins. Tudor today is what Rolex used to be, the 58 is a home run,Bravo Tudor.

As a owner of Rolex 5513,6538 and 79220N I have never felt that the 79220N wore that much bigger in fact when my 79220N sits next to the 6538 I always have to look twice as my old eyes tend to deceive me, however this new 58 is a home run and on my buy list for sure.

BB Noir ETA is still the nicest in my eyes. The rose, smiley and the silver bezel marking keep it closer to the original than the new BB58.

Everyone who couldn’t get their hands on BB Noir ETA is chasing after the BB58 cause the in-house version was obnoxious thick. The BB58 will be flooding the FS section once the wave settles IMO.

Rose and text are definitely better on the BBN, but even the ETA version is way too thick and sits awkwardly on the wrist. I’ll take a smaller and thinner case over some subtle dial design details anyday.

No, I personalty think it will have the same affect its having now. Holding of the current prices or slowly rising prices on the Noir. I am a biased owner, that couldn't care about price/value fyi.

I'll wait to see it in person, but on paper I think the 58 will be superior to the original BB. The originals were just too thick.

It may sit awkwardly on some wrists as every wrist is different. I can’t argue that but luckily for me it sits nicely. Also, it sits in at 12.6mm thick - hardly call that “way too thick” when the SubC comes in at 13mm and the PO 2500 comes is at 14.5mm.

Just as a side note, from experience, the smaller a watch is the thicker it looks optically. So the new BB58 is only 0.7mm thinner but 2mm smaller in diameter, so may still give an appearance as being thick. Don’t be fooled by pics (see my BBN ETA below). I’m not saying I don’t like the new BB58, but I’ll be holding on to mine till I see the new BB58 in the metal first.

For whatever reason this site seems to often have the earliest photo shoots of new Tudor models. They had the first North Flag photo set.

I'm very close to selling my Explorer I 39mm MK2 and might replace it with this piece. Like the size, the thickness, the long power reserve, the overall looks and don't mind no-date. Good job Tudor!

I had the ETA BB and sold it as it was too big and thick.. The problem with these is that even though the stated thickness isn't much, it's very blocky and sits like a slab on the wrist..

I honestly think that with this new design it'll wear bigger than the 214270. Admittedly, I might go for one as a "short sleeve watch" when the dist settles in a year or so.

Good points for sure and I have wrists on the small side so it exaggerated the thicker case.

I think a BBN dialed watch in the BB58 case with a white bezel and sword hands would be the ultimate, ala black bay one. I still don’t understand why the removed the rose logo and smiled text

Purchased it when I started missing the 114270 I sold and seeing the new lumed version as 'perfect'. I like it but find that I never wear it. I should never have sold the 114270 as I had some good memories attached to that watch.

I prefer dressier pieces at work and have sportier pieces for other times. At home and just hanging around it's great but I miss timing bezel for pasta and what not.

Will probably hold on to it a bit longer but don't like have money tied up in watches I don't use.

I believe the BBN eta will keep rising albeit in small increments,,

Its not just the thickness. On the 58 the lugs curve more gently, which adds to the appearance.
