Well,
After what seems like a lifetime, AD has given me the call! Watch is in and ready for collection. Making the trip on Saturday. Now the dilemma, my collection currently resides with a 116500LN & 116610LV and one does need to be sacrificed for the upgrade. Opinions welcome... I will update with pictures once collected but now it may be two nights of no sleep. If anyone would like to grace the thread with images of the watch that would be great. |

Congratulations in advance, great watch
As to which one to let go of ... tough call. I’d say the Daytona as the 5167 wears smaller and gives you that dressier option. The LVC is a colorful fun watch, and doesn’t everyone need a diver in their collection |

Do you really have to sell one of those? You know how hard they will be to replace in UK. I'd sell the black D500.

Lovely watch, congratulations, I couldn't part with the Daytona nor the Hulk, but if I had to, the Hulk would go.

Won't be getting rid in a rush due to the above point but one will need to go to balance the funds at some point. Unless the aquanaut does not give me the vibe after a few weeks wear. |

Tell me about it, as I have noted won't be a rushed decision but the 5167a now really is getting near nautilus waits in the UK and have you seen the boom in grey market prices. Madness!

I'd keep the Hulk.
The Aqua fills the same daily wear space the DaytonaC does. The Hulk is something else entirely, very fun watch. Ironically, I think the DaytonaC (especially black dial) is one of the best "only watch" options. |

I have a C500 and Hulk, since getting a 5164a, which is similar I only wear the Daytona and Patek. Have'nt worn the LV once. If it continues it will go. You can always replace a Hulk, good luck replacing a Daytona at retail.

If you can get the 5167 first and hold the hulk and the daytona, then see how the rotation goes and proceed to sell. Will be a bit hard to get back the one you sell, keep that in mind

Congrats!
I recently had a similar dilemma as I had to make room for my 5712 very recently. I too had the daytona and the hulk. I ended up letting the Hulk ( and my 16710) go. I do miss it. But I think it was the right choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That is the issue, knowing that letting either go would be a struggle to replace. however it would be the same with even the 5167. These are now rather hard get on a list for let alone purchase.

If you change your mind it would be harder to replace the Daytona. Replacing the Sub LV would be quicker and even if you decided to go grey would be less of a premium than the Daytona.
Personally I’d keep all 3, although saying that I bought the 5167a last week and can’t see myself wearing anything else for a while now! |

Can you keep the 3? Great balanced trio.
The Aquanaut can double as your dress watch - easily. Hell, if people wear subs as dress watches, I say anything goes. The 5167 is super thin, and will fit any cuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Congrats on finally getting the call for the Aquanaut! My vote is to keep the LVc if you absolutely have to get rid of one. That's a dream pair with those two.

Black Daytona my favorite Rolex so I would do anything to keep that one. Ideally you keep both but if you have to sell one sell the Sub LVC.

Wow, tough one, these two are my dream Rolex pair (I have the LVc).
Before giving up one of those two, eat raman or, if need be, dust.... Alternatively, is selling the 5167 and keeping the Daytona and Sub an option? |
