$24.5k for a fuchsia 1675?
Jacek has one listed currently. So if the watch only without the insert is about maybe 12k, the insert then cost more than the watch?
Crazy what a year can do in the vintage market. Used to be the most under appreciated reference, and all of a sudden it’s the darling of the collectors. Any guess how high it could go by the end of year? 30k, 35k? Mind boggling! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you like it with a matte dial at 1.4m I think you will have to pay more than 12k in that condition. Personally I think the dial is wrong but that is just me. I’d like a gilt dial in that serial range. It’s a super nice watch though. Regardless insert. Price is ridicoulos imho for fuchsias but people seem to like them (and pay for them).

I think a nice Correct 1675 should be worth every bit of what the new Pepsi is bringing on the grey market...20K.

I don’t think I implied that it was.I was simply stating my opinion that a 1675 should be worth the grey price of a new BLRO SS....Seeing how they are not making them anymore and Rolex will be pumping out the new One for Years to come.

As far as pricing goes, it is what it is - whether it's a bezel insert, bracelet or watch. If you like the item, and are comfortable with the price, then do what you need to do. If you aren't comfortable with a price, move on.

I'm preparing to drop a decent amount on a new insert for my 1675, and I'd rather pay top dollar for a super fat font than a fuchsia to be honest.

At best the watch was serviced in the late sixties and the dial hands and insert were replaced at that time. Crazy money IMHO for a watch that is not correct.

Am I mistaken or aren’t fuchsias “correct” on slightly later reference years 1968-70ish?

I’m glad someone said this, and I’m happy to +1 the comment: The fuchsia does nothing for me versus a nice fat font. I can’t see the draw. Frankly, I think they are a wee bit feminine. And that’s coming from a Gynecologist! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I’ve noticed dramatic price increases this past year.
Slightly off topic, the white 1680s are going for crazy money $14-$18K depending on condition and retail outlet. |

I picked one up also awhile back for a decent price also...but have always felt they're undervalued compared to other references. Guess the market "discovered" it and caught up.

Yep,I always thought how to people pay 15-20K for a Red Sub But 7-8K for a White...Made no sense. These are of course old prices but serve as a reference point.
