I opened this thread bracing myself for a sad story. Glad that you lost it to your wife, and yes, this equals a green light for a new piece.

Well you could always add the new Explorer 2 whenever it's updated. Congrats to her

Same. I know the Rubber will make it wear smaller but I'm curious.

How I lost my Polar Explorer

A reluctant wrist shot from earlier this morning (she scoffs when I take wrist shots)

And a more candid photo over breakfast

She wears it on a 6" wrist. The buckle had to be installed the "wrong" way to allow for it to be more centered and balanced.

Rule number one: don't let your wife borrow your watch, you will never get it back!

The thing about Rubber B bands for this model is that it has to be cut to a specific wrist size; this means I'll never be able to use the white strap as her wrist is smaller than mine. I'll need to get a second rubber strap and size that for my wrist.

I'm glad to be able to share my hobby with her. When she's done with it, I'll put it back on the bracelet if I haven't found another Rubber B. I like how the VulChromatic one with a white stripe looks

Sad to here that. I got a wife too, they are predators! She steals anything from my socks to my watches.

This thread should be a warning to anyone considering acquiring a wife.

You were kind of asking for it putting such a strap as that on it...unless of course you have the matching belt and shoes.

And that's what you get for tinkering. Now it's time to go out and get yourself a new watch :)

Herb Tarlek style!

OP, it looks fantastic on your wife and good on you for graciously backing away from a war you just can't win. Now, what are you going to replace it with?

Accept the scoffery. That is a great summertime look on a lady. You have successfully avoided the raised eyebrow when the wife discovers the Rolex price tag. Let her rent it on occasion. Well played.
