Hi, my first ever post on here. Im considering buying a Superocean II (44 black dial with black rubber strap) and I was wondering if anyone on here had got one/owned one or were in a position to give me any advise on buying one of these pieces. many thanks Steve

I have a blue one. I do enjoy it. There are multiple sources of these (yes even AD's) so shop around since you should get something substantial off list price. I'd also suggest you try one on to confirm it's a piece you want to own AND wear. You mentioned black strap. I think that there are multiple options on the strap, B name on it, holes, tang, clasp, etc. So check out those options too. Good luck and enjoy!

I have the blue dial/bezel on the bracelet. Purchased it from Takuya, one of the TS here. It’s a great piece.

Ideal, thank you for your help!!! I'm off to London in a few weeks so was hoping I could shop around and get some sort of discount. id also noticed the variations in straps so I will make sure I pay particular attention and attempt to try them all before making a decision

Also, what would be classed as a "substantial" discount or roughly what should I be aiming for?

No idea lately, but 20% maybe more... Ask a couple. Also you could look around the web.. I bet $3K +/- Less if not needing Bret. warranty, etc.

Hope I'm not violating any rules here.

I have the 42mm version, and love it. Search the Trusted Sellers and I think you'll find something pretty quickly. Finding one on the right strap and clasp combination is a little bit more of a challenge, but save enough money and you can always find a strap for it. One thing I enjoy about the Superocean is all the bracelet and strap options.

Well my hunt didn’t go well. Went into the boutique on Bond Street and it wasn’t a friendly atmosphere. Found the watch I wanted but couldn’t get any discount at al which I was surprised at. Harrods boutique was a lot more welcoming but didn’t have the watch/strap combination that I was after unfortunately.

I actually didn’t pull trigger in store last Friday because I was uncertain if I wanted mesh bracelet. When I got home from cruise I decided to get it. Called store and it’s being shipped to me. Here is pic salesman sent me to make sure it was the correct one. It’s cslled Brown. But when I called I said I was in there Friday and want the one with burgundy bezel and silver dial. Lol. That’s what color it looks in person. Will send better pics when it arrives. He threw in a free Breitling cap too.

Seems I may need to up my bargaining game. I did get offered a cap tho, plus one more “gift” of my choice which the dealer wouldn’t say anymore on. Unfortunately for him I wanted the money off. Even if was offered 10% I’d have said yes.

Nice!! Well it seems I may have to up my bargaining game then. I was offered a cap plus a choice of another gift but the dealer wouldn’t enlighten me any further on that. Unfortunately I wanted the money off more. 10% and I’d have walked out the shop with the watch. Oh well

I was going to stop into 2 local AD’s near me tomorrow and look at the blue superocean II 42 & 44. Prob end up with the 44mm since it looks like only full polished in the 42mm. Unless I’m wrong.

How much did you end up paying about from an AD? I’m looking for one now and curious, roughly if you don’t mind.

I wouldn’t want a hat or gift. I’d prefer 5% off over a hat I’ll never wear
