Literally every day. But I see Patek every day. I live in a weird place.

Submariner SS, I see it one time per day either in the subway or in the lift. Way too common I wouldn't consider buying one for myself.

I may have to say it a thousand times before someone listens but Subs seen “everywhere” are almost all 5 digits. Nothing wrong with 5 digits but point is let’s not be ridiculous and act like the current Maxi case Subs are everywhere

I used to see them at least 50 times a Day... On my wrist now I only See YACHT-MASTER, and DAYTONA…
But actually I hardly see any. There is a city in San Ramon that has a ROLEX AD and there, while shopping I see a few

I see the Submariner Date daily. I've worked at three major nyc law firms since 1994 and circumstantial evidence suggests that the typical male associate runs out and buys a Submariner Date with part of his first year bonus. Ubiquitous

I work in Toronto downtown core. You can see subs and APs every now and then. Haven’t seen very many PPs.

Those that have them have good taste.
And are fortunate to have , happened across such a sought after timepiece. |

See a LN sub pretty much daily.
I'd wager it's probably the most common watch model I see.

I cruise a lot and I am surprised I see a lot of Bluseys on the cruise ship.
During my last cruise, at lunch time, I glanced over to the table beside me and noticed a man wearing a Platona and his wife wearing probably his 116520. It looked too big and was too lose on her wrist. I was really tempted to ask if she wanted to sell me the 116520. |

In the Hamptons if you’re not wearing a sub, you’re wearing a Patek or Daytona. They are ubiquitous.

That's an interesting point. It would be good of those who note the Sub's ubiquity to note also which generation of Sub they're seeing.

For the past 10 years, i have worked and lived in the Financial District of New York. I see SS Subs ALL the time (in my office, on the subway, and at restaurants). I wouldn't necessarily say it is a daily thing, but few times a week at a minimum. Of course, on top of SS subs there are quite a number of DJs but also smattering of TT Subs, GMTs, and Daytonas

I haven't seen 10 Rolex watches in person in my life.
While the Sub is common among Rolex wearers they aren't common among general population. |

Just depends on where you live. When I lived in Clearwater/Tampa FL seeing any Rolex was rare. Now I’m in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami and I’ll see a few Rolex every day.
Subs just seem to get the reputation of being basic. |

I see Subs every day in my company. It is the first thing people buy when they are promoted into mid level management.
I see them also in the gym and one thing young students often talk about what to do with the first money after their degree.....buying a Rolex . |

I rarely see them. I see DJ's more than any other Rolex by a long stretch.

Living out in a provincial town in Northern Ireland, I have only ever seen two black subs in the wild. Funnily enough one was in Domino's and the guy had clearly just come from the gym in his convertible BMW. The other was an antique shop owner.
One guy I work with has a TT DD and another lady has a TT DJ, but other than that I rarely see any Rolex or any other luxury watches. That may change next July when the British Open golf comes to town! |

Two years ago I was in the hospital and one of the younger doctors wore a green Sub (the original version, I think). I complemented him and told him I owned its grandfather. When I commented on it his eyes lit up. I wasn't wearing any watch at the time. My wife's doctor noticed her Ladies-Date. She said he had a smaller sized one, mid-size DJ I guess. He is a small guy. When he saw the watch, the first thing he said to her was "I hope you realize what it will cost to get serviced." His must have just come back. |
