I was a Lurker and in the Shadows once upon a time. I would venture to say many here in the light now were too.

Here’s the main reason I suppose,
I fee the Rolex forum group on Facebook serves the same purpose with quicker easier social interactions, forums are great however the watch world is thriving in the social market...

Yes, I'm a lurker.

I'm on the forums because I have an interest in watches. I greatly admire the craftsmanship that goes into these timepieces. To me, watches are not just tools for telling the time, but are also wearable art, and thus a form of self expression.

While I do read a lot of the threads, I rarely post/comment because I find that other members often voice my sentiments (somtimes more succinctly and/or eloquently).

As far as what watches I have, I don't have any at the moment, but I'm saving up for either a 116500 (black dial) or a 116680 (pre-mercedes hands), which I hope to acquire early next year. After that, the only other watch I'm interested in getting would be a Richard Mille; either an RM-11, RM35-01, or an RM55 (haven't decided which one).

I have been a member since 2005, I was 76th person to join TRF. I visit often but post very infrequently. I use our forum as a research tool, other members reviews and to view some watch pics.

I joined a few years ago to PM a seller about a non-Rolex watch. Since then I have learned much from the forum. I plan on picking up my first Rolex next year. Until then I will keep absorbing as much as I can.

I was a lurker for quite awhile ......being somewhat intimidated by a mostly male forum.

After awhile I felt very welcomed from many members here on TRF and am now " less shy "

A little of it all I suppose. I comment when the mood strikes. May have even started a thread or two but nothing earth shattering.
In the watch box is mix of Rolex, Panerai, Breitling and one lonely TAG. First watch ever bought for me that was more than $200. My wife had NO idea what she was in for I am sure!
Spun of the others I was not wearing for one reason or another.
