New! Timex Marlin Automatic Coming Soon
Timex isn't the most popular watch on the board, but I like my new hand-wind Marlin and this new automatic looks pretty nice, too. It has a nice clean look, too.

40mm and probably well under $500. What’s not to like?
I wanted to pick up the other reissue until I saw it was 34mm. This will be great. Hamilton just did it with their Chrono. Was a 42mm LE last year and they reverse the panda, go 40mm and make it non LE. Great call. Albeit at $2200 which is pretty steep for a Hamilton. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Looks nice
I bought the manual Marlin in black. A tad small for me.

Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see some real life pics of the burgundy/purple dial looking one. Wish it would have had the same dial as the 34mm version though!

I'm liking 34mm more and more as time goes by.
I'm wearing my 1503 today and it feels great.

The brown one does look nice and a little unusual versus the more typical white or black.

It’s up on the website. Just ordered the silver dial with brown strap.

I would love if they made the hand wind 38mm, 37mm even would be great. Dont think I can pull of 34mm with my 7" flat wrist.

Nothing wrong with 34MM. Enjoyed my 35mm for years and going 1mm smaller would not hurt it. Best feature? Looks classy!

What is your wrist size? I have had 36mm king seikos and my old seamaster (grandfathers) is 36mm, but it just feels too small, so i never wear them (my wife even said it looked like I was wearing a girls watch - she's into "full" sized dive watches). Perhaps my perceptions have been skewed by the contemporary sizes, but I will be happy to be convinced otherwise on the Timex; its such a fun, nostalgic piece.

Of course, I'm old enough to have worn 34mm watches and having considered them a normal size for men. I grew up with men of my father's generation who wore much smaller and thinner watches.

Very nice indeed! Timex has really come out with some stunners lately IMO. I love the idea that one does not necessarily require a huge budget for watches in order to enjoy ownership of some very nice pieces. Kudos to Timex for the Marlin range! I also find a few of the Hamilton sportier field watches and excellent value and quality. For under a grand one can have a truly fine small collection these days.
As a child of the 50s and 60s myself, my father had an Omega (which we still have, and I had it serviced and gave to my brother) which is 34mm. Cheers, Carl

Mine just got here. First impression is that it’s a winner. Dial is perfect, markers are right, strap is soft and beautiful, and the size is perfect.
I was worried about the thickness, but it sits in the wrist really great. I guess it’s time to remove the stickers and set it! Pics in the next field. |

Looks nice. I ordered the same one today. But gifting the manual 34mm Marlin to my father. Too small for me. And I gave it a chance.

I received the same model depicted above. It is attractive. I like minimalist, Mad Men, 60’s vintage watches and this checks the boxes.
I found the crown winding a little gritty. Setting the time was a little imprecise. But it punches at its relatively low price level. It’s a keeper. |

I like it... great move by Timex.
I see this as a "gateway automatic", thousands will buy this and think "finally, a 'nice watch', this is the only one I need...". A few years later... |

Went from Panerai to Nomos. At first, the change was obvious. Then I realized how much I liked the Orion and how little I loved the PAM. In my line up, there is nothing over 40mm.
