Thinking of flipping Blue Pelagos for Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Titanium
Ok as the title states Im thinking of flipping my Tudor Pelagos Blue for the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Titanium.
Dont see the need to have 2 "diving style" watches both in blue, even though Pelagos blue is brighter in color but matte finish while the PO is navy with a shiny finish. Who thinks this is a good idea? |

I don't know much about the Omega. But unless it fit and felt as good as the Pelagos on the wrist, I would not.

Yes that is true about the fit. I have tried it on and I think it felt the same. It looks taller then the Pelagos but it wasnt. Also Im looking at the 42mm

Do it. Omega is a step up from Tudor IMO. The Omega PO is a great diver. I also like it’s movemnt better.

Which model PO is it? I owned the 8500 PO which I think was the second generation. The thickness is something to be mindful of. The display back on certain models make it a very thick watch. Chrono version gets even thicker.
Stunning watch but I eventually sold because I was never 100% happy with the thickness. |

I have the nominal 40mm (39.5mm) model and it's the most accurate watch that I own...even a touch more so than my 4130 Daytona.
In the end, you're buying the way it looks on your wrist. So, be sure to try it on before you take the plunge. ![]() Montre du jour 30 IMG_2711 Smart Photo Web Blur Lower.jpg |

I have a Seamaster. Not my favorite watch but I swear it’s bulletproof.

I'd go with the Omega. The Co-Axial is a terrific movement, superior IMO to the Tudor. I also think the fit and finish of the Omega makes it more versatile. Pelagos is a very casual watch and I'd think hard to pull off in anything more dressy than business casual.

I'd do it. That blue PO is a beautiful watch. I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a "tool diver" like the Pelagos, at least not in looks. I've heard they can definitely withstand some daily wear "abuse" and hold up well. A Planet Ocean is on my short list of future purchases; I can't say that about the Pelagos...

Would absolutely do that. I have the PO titanium and looked at the Pelagos and they aren't in the same league, in my opinion.

I had a 42mm PO in titanium and I absolutely loved it. It’s incredibly light for its size and it’s just a kick ass watch. It wore a little tall for me, but that was my only knock. Great watch.
