Rolex is just messing with me...

Just got a Rolex catalogue from my AD. Almost all of the watches pictured are PM or TT and my AD has virtually no stock! Either Rolex is clueless about their own shortage or huge Christmas deliveries are about to hit AD shelves. I’m not holding my breath...

I may be out of the loop but I've never seen a catalogue like that before

It’s 50 pages long and only has pictures of watches with no descriptions or narrative other than the name of the model (Skydweller, day dae 40, etc). Kind of useless in my opinion.

My main AD is having a party next week. They had next to nothing as usual two weeks ago. I hope for their sake they have more Rolexs for Christmas. Plenty of Tags, Tissot and Seikos though. Well, they are a jewelry store so their main focus isn't on Rolex or they would be out of business.

Interesting book. I've never seen that one either. Mostly PM or TT shown inside? No SS models? Cool book, but mulgogy is right......It's just a book of things you can't have! Lol! Would you be able to show some pics of some of pages inside? I'd like to have one of those wish books too!

Rolex releases a different holiday catalog every year similar to this one. This is the first one in recent memory that comes as a black hard cover.

No problem—-again, just pictures with no description or relevant information...

Those are the strangest pictures ever. Many seem staged to look like pieces of the watch have fallen off? Who’s bright idea was that?

....also, if this publication is absent many SS models I’d say Rolex seems well aware of the supply shortage

The only SS models pictured were the white dial perpetual 39, Deepsea, GMT Pepsi and Air-King. There is also a Date Just 41 with a fluted bezel, but I didn't count that. Otherwise, gold, platinum, TT, diamonds, etc.

This is nothing compared to what Harrods do.
Harrods sends monthly magazines to reward card members and so earlier this year they advertised GMT II Pepsi on one of their magazines.
I contacted them and was told that you cannot buy it and even get on their list, only clients who have established a strong relationship can get on the list.
FFS! They should state that on their advert.

Got one from my AD along with regular catalogue and magazine #08

Nice display pieces, but doesn’t help to show what I cannot buy.

Screwed in crown or not, something like water when hand washing wouldn’t get passed the seals.

Haha noticed it too. Really bad presentation even if conceptualized as some sort of Christmas confetti

I got a really nice book from my AD recently. Hardback book in white... sales catalogue essentially. But wonderfully presented!

FFS! They should state that on their advert.

And they should be clear about the definition of a “strong relationship” - I.e. are knee pads required?

Thank you! Interesting catalog. It's more like a photographic artsy type book vs a serious sales tool. Maybe art type photos were what they were going for which is why they have no descriptions and the falling watch pieces theme? Would be a cool book to have on my coffee table for friends and guest to look at.

Nice book. I can only look at watches so long in pictures. I prefer catalogues that have picture of watches in a setting or on some ones wrist. Rolex needs to step it up and get out of the 80's and 90's advertising art.
