A Good Nights Fishing.

Took my Grandson for a nights fishing again at my local lake.Marcus done very well with the heaviest fish a 12lb Mirror Carp and a catch of nearly 70lbs.Myself only managed 42lbs all fish were returned to fight another day.Marcus hooked something pretty big,and he lost part of his pole,as it was snatched from his grip.Could have been a large Carp or a Pike

Marcus with his best catch Mirror Carp.

Mixed Bag Marcus.

My mixed bag Marcus said he cut my head out of picture not to
frighten the fish.

No all put back to fight another day,if we catch a small Pike of around the 10lb mark thats a eater.In-fact some waters in the UK divers with harpoon spear guns have been caught trying to spear large Carp. For the Japanese and Chinese restaurants, apparently its quite a delicacy.Afaid if I saw them at my local lake I would spear them.

He must of had a long swim, last time I heard old Nessie was in Scotland.Myself think it was a large Carp, there was one caught a few weeks ago over 35 lbs.But there are Pike known to be around the same size,or larger in the lake.
