I wish I still had my Polar TBH. I felt the bezel was a bit of a scratch magnet and that was why I moved it on. Loved the size/ dial, basically 'almost' everything about it, apart from the bezel.

I'm hoping Rolex are planning a 50th Anniversary version with a ceramic bezel - I'm 110% all over that if they do.

If they make a ceramic bezel version, it may as well be a 42mm GMT sans the moveable bezel. I prefer the stainless steel fixed bezel on the Explorer II.

I agree, with the black face the stainless steel bezel really makes the face pop...doesn’t blend in like my sub.

How much bigger does it wear compare it to the Explorer 214270?
Thanks!

Second time owner, but it's been 5 years since. Good to have one back on my wrist.

I spent years avoiding this model. Even having a 16570. Well, something snapped and this hasn’t come off my wrist since acquiring. Really all around sleeper piece. Glad I snagged one

My First Rolex.

Hello everyone,
Allow me to show off my first Rolex. I have a rather large wrist (8.2”) and this beauty fits wonderfully well, I have tried subs and gmt 2s but at 40mm they are a bit small. When I first saw this model in 2011 I knew I had to have one. However life did the usual thing and got in the way so 8 years later I was finally in a position to buy one. I’m Very happy.

Cheers.

I don't own one of these, but I'd like one. From looking at the pictures it seems like you need a large wrist to pull this one off. I believe that lug to lug this watch is similar in dimension to the DSSD. Can anyone who owns both comment?

I also wear my watches in right wrist. I’ve found it useful during aircraft operations.

This watch is becoming more interesting. Interestingly not caught up in the insane pricing model of other models. Has this watch been well adopted?

No, DSSD is bigger. You don’t need a large wrist to pull this off.

I believe this is 50mm lug to lug.

Find myself wearing this more than my others. Super comfy and very legible. I travel often and wear at night. Lume is bright enough in the early morning to read clearly.
