1680 red sub urgent questionsss

hi everyone i m working on my research on 1680 red sub. saw that some 5513 (from 67yrs) could be still able to glow under UV light. May i know if the tritium in the 1680 red sub could also be able glow under uv light? thanks

My DRSD and 2 red subs doesn’t glow anymore, all from the 70s. But my subs and GMT from the 50-60s does due to radium.

Depends on what you mean by "glow." Do you mean that the tritium/lume just lights up a little when hit with the UV light, or that it has a sustained glow (even brief) after the UV light has been turned off?

Can you post a photo?

Original tritium should look like this, more or less, when hit with a blacklight/UV. And once the light is removed, there most likely should be no sustained glow for early-mid-'70s Rolexes. There are some vintage Rolexes from the '60s that react a little differently.

Yes, to a certain degree, as long as the UV light is directly on it. In my photo, the direction of my little UV flash light was more on the dial. Also, tritium can crumble out of the pearls over the years, giving them a slightly different look under UV.
