Tell me about rolliworks...

Anyone have any reviews out there? I am thinking of either sending Rikki or these guys my 16600 for a movement service.

Call them - it is a very good way to get a feel for them; I just sent my well-loved 30-year old 16610 Sub Date to them for crystal replacement, movement overhaul, and bracelet polish. I talked to Mike in great detail beforehand, and feel good about my choice. I was quoted a 2.5-week turnaround and what I felt was a very fair price.

They do great work. But my understanding is only RSC can service 16600 HEV. I would research this.

I've used Rik and will use Rik for all service needs (has a non rolex of mine at the moment!)

I've also used RolliWorks for a special project and it turned out fantastic!

Both are GTG

I posted a comment just below, titled RolliWorks Does It Again. I've had two watches serviced by Michael and I can't say enough good things about him/them. I understand that Rikki also has an excellent reputation, but I haven't worked with him.

Mike and Sal are class acts and do amazing work with super efficient turnarounds.
Highly recommend them. They are local to me so I've met them both and they are passionate, professional, and talented! They're also WIS like the rest of us :-)

They do movement service, etc. Do they have a Rolex parts account?

I've asked this before but didn't get an answer. I hope they do considering their popularity on the forum.

They have a Rolex parts account. The 16600 is being serviced by them as we speak!

I’m intrigued by the comment about ‘hoping they have a Rolex parts account’. If they do good work and use genuine parts, what does it matter? I was under the impression that they didn’t have a Rolex parts account.

They do as I confirmed before shipping mine to them.

Just got my 16600 back and it is awesome! Rolliworks did an excellent job with communication and work! All Rolex parts used and they even mail you back the old parts that were replaced in the Rolex parts packaging!

They also mailed back timing slips and pressure test results post rebuild.

Well, I unfortunately found a fingerprint under the crystal and some potential scratching on the hands (in the sunlight today) on my recently serviced 16600. I contacted Rolliworks and am waiting for a reply on how they will respond. I am sure they will make it right.

Rolliworks niche is fabulous bracelet repair and overhaul, although, they can and do, full service work.

Rik has many years of high quality movement service experience.

Contact any vendor that you are interested in and discuss your needs with them personally.

I sent a message directly through the Rolliworks website contact page on Saturday afternoon and heard back from Michael within the hour.

You might try that approach.

I just had a local certified watch smith break it open and remove the smudges and pressure test so I didn’t have to deal with shipping again. However, Rolliworks reimbursed me for the expense of the local Smith to fix it!

Some smart person said good customer service is not how they sell you their product, but how they respond when there's a problem (or somewhere nalong those lines). Great to hear this about Rolliworks, this can only reinforce their credibility!

This is absolutely true. Any business can make a mistake. It's how they deal with the mistake that separates the good ones from the bad. I think RolliWorks is one of the good ones.

Just received my Oysterquartz Day/Date back from Rolliworks. Really good job, fair price, ready when promised.
Local Rolex 'expert' said quartz wasn't meant to be serviced....he didn't seem to know anything .
Rolliworks knows what they are doing and does it quite well.

Had my 14060M there for movement overhaul and some bracelet work. Very happy with the results, work was fast and the price was good. I will continue to use them.

As an aside I have chatted with Mike and Sal some and these guys really like watches and are somewhat fanatical about them. I like being able to meet and chat with the people who will work on my watch.
