Can get 30-35% off Audemar at AD...
Worth buying then flipping or just take the discount and hold my AP.
I have 1 rolex, but like an AP. Easily to resell them or is this just a waste of time. 30-35% seems very good no? |

The AD can’t give you that discount unless they’ve lost their AD status and need to get rid of the watches at cost price.

Think of the following in Rolex value retention:
Submariner - 15450ST (all colours except blue) / Royal Oak Chronograph / 25th Anniversary Royal Oak Offshore Submariner (date) - 15500ST (grey/black) / 15400ST (grey/black/white) / 15450(Blue) Hulk/Batman/Pepsi - 15500ST (Blue) / 15400ST (blue) Daytona Ceramic - 15202ST / Double balance wheel skeletonized royal oak stainless steel Rainbow Daytona - 15202BC Basically any stainless steel men's models resells over retail, if brand new. Some will be more but depends on model. |

Since the value retention equivalence seems to be popular here is a short one for models either vintage/stopped production, this varies more on condition so its not the most accurate:
USD 100k+ Paul Newman Daytona 6262 - 5402ST (A series early dial variation) USD 50K -100K Submariner big crown 6538 - 5402ST (A series), 5402(B with same dial as A) Submariner small crown 6536 - 5402ST (B-C-D) USD 25k - 50k Sub Kermit Fat 4 - 25721ST D series Royal Oak Offshore Antimagnetic Small engine turned dial pattern (The beast), 15300ST (Blue) USD 15k-25k Daytona Zenith 16520 - 15300ST (all except blue), 25721TI Royal Oak Offshore Antimagnetic, 39mm Royal Oak Chronograph (Blue, Panda, Navy) Sub Kermit - 25721ST E series Royal Oak Offshore (The beast) |

fascinating comparison between the 2 brands especially since it reaches back to origin. even if wildly approximate it is extremely interesting IMO.
