Head Count May 28th NYC G2G

Okay this is what I have so far as the head count:

Fchernyak
Dennis94
agentmeister5
robcorbe1
Itmgeller

There was a bunch of other interest before the head count so I will continue to update the list as members respond.

Based on prior get togethers it will definitely be a great night even with the guys we have so far!!!

I hate to be that guy but can I put myself as a 50/50? Would love to join but still pinning down memorial day plans and can’t commit 100%. Either way great call on the old homestead—I haven’t been in years but love that place.

Hey guys, I'm brand new to TRF and based in NYC. I've been into watches for 5+ years but have just gotten into Rolex in the last year or so. I'd love the chance to meet some fellow Rolex enthusiasts if there's still room!

Welcome to the forum. This is a little unusual for a first post. What kind of watches do you have? Usually most people post a bit and get a feel for the forum before coming to a get together. We welcome everyone, just like get a little more of an online presence from you before sitting down to dinner if you know what I mean.

Welcome to the forum. We appreciate your attempt to help but this is your first post. Like I mentioned on another first posters post, it be nice if you had a little bit more of an online presence before we sit down to dinner with you. Everyone is ov course welcome, but your first post is about taking over a get together. Lets state slow and get to know each other first.

Apologies if I was being a bit over eager. Let me elaborate a little more on my small but growing collection.

I have the Hulk which I purchased new earlier this year and an Explorer II black dial (ref 16570) which I purchased last year. The Explorer II I use mostly as a watch for traveling given the GMT complication, while the Hulk is a daily wearer. Even though green rarely goes with any outfit, I love the way the sunburst dial changes color between green, black, and all the shades in between.

I acquired the Explorer II after searching for about a month and by chance walking into an AD and seeing one in the pre owned case. I tried it on and the rest is history! The Hulk came after about 6 months of getting to know another AD through casual conversations about Rolex and watch collecting in general. Every so often I would stop by the AD and chat up the owner, asking questions about various watches and showing a strong interest in Rolex. After building up a personal connection with the owner of the AD, I expressed a strong desire for the Hulk. Only a month later I got the call one night while I was working late and leapt out of my chair at the news. Needless to say, I’ve been enjoying the Hulk ever since!

No need to apologize. Those are 2 great watches, wear them in good health. A common reply on here is pics or it didn't happen. Post a wrist shot when you get a chance so we can all enjoy. We have have to be overly cautious when planning these things because we are putting a lot of people together each wearing several $1000k on their wrists and don't want to create any problems. Most of the people inquiring about the gtg have been on the forum a while and have a good number of posts.

Man - I'm sorry to be missing this one, as Rob seems to have come back from the dead to do a bang-up job on getting some good numbers here!

I'm unfortunately pretty booked up until mid-June, but I look forward to some great pics of this get-together, and hopefully we can do one over the Summer!

We will set up a NYC or Long Island G2G in mid/end of June to include some of the people that didn't get to be apart of this one.

All the best.

Final count

Hey Guys.

So I just booked at table for 12.

Here is the thing...

I had to put down a card which I am cool with to hold the table.

Out of respect to the organizer...if you are on the list above and you don't plan on coming please let me know.

Either PM me or respond to this trail. I don't need to be perfect on head count but if 2 guys show up to this I am most likely going to get hit with a $250 charge.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the event!!!
