5212A deliveries

Any updates on delivery of this model. None on Chronos24, so I guess still not being shipped.

I was told mine would arrive on August (not sure early or late August). A TRF member posted his 5212A was on its way, I have seen couple on IG so deliveries have started.

I am in awe. This looks amazing. My AD say that it’s going to be impossible to get this year. Hope you get yours soon

Any hints on if its availability will be Calatrava-style or Nautilus-style? :)

I think initially availability would be Nautilus - style, at least for the first couple of years. Then it is more likely to be Calatrava - style.

5235G, 5960A and 5524G were hard to obtain and commanded in premium in the secondary market when they were first released.

I agree, but the caveat is this is steel. And everyone wants steel!

This is a cool watch nonetheless.

I agree every one wants steel. Steel and platinum are my favourite metals. However not all Patek steel models are sought after, 5960A is still available at ADs, Neptune and Sculpture can bought for a very reasonable price.

Good point, although the 5960/1a bracelet is pretty polarizing as is the overall design (watch and bracelet) of the Neptune and Sculpture.

My AD told me the 5212 is already getting the Nautilus&Aquanaut stainless steel demand so will be extremely difficult to obtain. They have already got multiple calls and will only get 1 for the year.

Eh, I don't understand the appeal of steel, to be honest.

Especially when it's costing more than precious metals these days (particularly on the Rolex side).

Now, if you told me Patek was making a regular production titanium model, then I'd be interested. Steel is overdone!

I bet it starts asking like double retail secondary with a very thin buyer pool and then settles lower towards msrp over a few years. We shall see. Congrats to all waiting for theirs

Good work, Patek. Continue making watches no one can buy, and instead people will go and buy other brands.

TS said something to the effect that most people who wanted this watch would not be able to get it.

Well he said the opposite about the 5522 and was way the hell off so at least he is telling the truth.

Does the blue strap come with the watch or ordered separately through AD?

What's the point then? I mean, honestly, there's enough Pateks most people cannot get.

You can walk into any AD and buy a lot of pieces, if no one wanted it then it would be easy to get. With a self imposed limit on SS models they could always cut Nautilus and Aquanaut production.

The Nautilus will be easier to get than the 5212 IMO.

Bold statement , but sure if you take all nautili together then I agree... but harder than a blue SS 5711 or 5712, of which ADs get maybe 1-2 per year? Not so sure about that . Will be interesting to see for sure .

I want one so bad!

It would be an awesome daily driver, under the radar, useful complication, it checks all the boxes for me.

Let's see how the grays price it, as I have no relation with an AD...

I think 5212A will be difficult to get during the first couple of years but after that it should not be difficult to get one. This has been the case with many recent Pateks (except for Nautilus and Aquanauts). Furthermore Patek invested on a new movement so they are not going to limit the production and this model will be on the catalogue for a long time.
