Fully assembled. With this much metal forming, it's almost unavoidable for us to complete the repair without the bracelet looking new-ish. This is not so great for some. We can distress to put back some of the character. We can do this from a little to a lot depending on the spec giving to us. Here is what it looks like before distressing.

Lapping machines are the best. From bring back edges of tired worn casebacks to restoring case chamfers on your beloved 6536, it's amazing what can be done on these machines. More photos to come... soon.

Our new shop in Campbell CA is still a construction zone but we hope we be moved in by early Mar or sooner. “Hoping”
Our new space is a former Bank of America building so we inherit the double door time lock vault. 12” thick rebar reinforced concrete walls all the way around. In the background you can see the first of two vault doors. The first is a vintage 1930s mechanical door with mechanical clocks. Very cool. The inner value has more modern security but we wont show photos of this for obvious reasons. All work done in the good ol’ U.S. of A. |

Its a two room vault each are large enough to park a Hummer inside of them. Overly large for nearly all watch shops but we will put it to good use. It makes it much easier to move ongoing jobs in at night and out in the morning.
Lol we will be only shop in the world that keeps its surplus supply of paper towels and copy paper in a vault! Lol All work done in the good ol’ U.S. of A. |

Thanks! We've had holdups on this space since Oct so can't wait to finally get moved in and settled. It's going to be an amazing home for us for years to come.
Send us photos of what you have for case refinishing. For now we're accepting jobs we know we can complete before the move. We want to get the vast majority of on going jobs done and back to clients before we move our operations from San Francisco to Campbell. Right now we're cherry picking the ones that look to be 5-7 day turnarounds. |

Man, you have some incredible skill. Next time I'm in the bay area I'd like to come by and visit. Do you have a showroom? Are you open to the public?

Putting our lapping machine to use. Still learning to photograph the bevel. Tricky.

Worn or damaged case back anyone?
Geez this case back has seen better days. In addition to the dents, the transition from the brushed and polished portions are fuzzy and not quite a circle. After years of improper polishing, the edges are rounded and turning oval shaped. We will need to address this as well.

On with the dapping tools. A large part of the damage is banged out on the anvil. Deeper spots are laser welded. The rest will be done on our lapping machine. We will lap the bottom to be totally flat then restore the edges so the transition from polished to brushed areas will be nicely round and sharp.
