Decent bottle for $20 to go with a hamburger! Enjoying it and would recommend it for the price, its a full body Cab.

Tasting Notes

Our 2012 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is rich with dark cherries, plum, spices and black pepper. The palate is full with medium tannins and a lush finish.

Bought this excellent Rhone recently at Kokoman
near Santa Fe, NM. You would never guess-from the
outside of the store at least(Google Kokoman for photos)-that it has an excellent selection and a very knowledgeable owner/buyer:

(My most recent order from an out-of-state wine merchant(not Kokoman). They will ship the case when the weather is cooler-probably in mid-late Oct:

2010 Corton Marechaudes, Roche de Bellene-3 bottles

2012 Chateauneuf du Pape V.V., Clos St Jean-3 bottles

2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli, Il Poggione-3 bottles

2011 Crognolo, Sette Ponte-3 bottles

This should make for a very pleasant winter with a somewhat robust afterglow )

Becoming more of a semi-dry lover, as I mature in years.
(10, or 20, more years to full maturity, though! )

Gerardo gives this the "thumbs-up..."

I attended a meditation retreat
this summer and interestingly the
teacher turned out to be a wine
lover-especially high-end Italian.

Here he is at the head of the table(yellow
jacket)while my friend is pouring the wine(I
bought one of those bottles-that’s
probably why I got to sit at his table ).

We have been enjoying Intipalka Malbec - Merlot Reserve made in Peru. Bringing a few bottles home. The Chardonnay they make is very good too!

Another Wine from Peru

Picked one more bottle up in Peru before we left. Going to let these bottles sit for a little and enjoy them on an anniversary of our trip!

if you want to indulge, grab a Pignan or CDP from Chateau Rayas France.. it will blow most other wines away.. I also love Haden Fig from Oregon USA.

2013 Carsi Vineyard Chardonnay

An Excellent Chardonnay IMHO! Just the way I like my Chardonnay's and $38 a bottle is very reasonable for the quality. 91 Points WS

https://www.vsattui.com/product/2013...er&maxRows=10&

TASTING NOTES: Pleasantly seductive and subtle, with creamy, toasty oak nuances and flavors of pear, butterscotch and honeydew melon that glide along gracefully on the finish.

Got lucky on this one

Asked for the Nuits St. Georges 1er. The Somm, who was awesome, said, "we're out of it but I can give you this at the same price. It's the same producer."

I said, "SOLD, man!"

One of Lalou's earlier Domaine Leroy vintages, it was awesome.

Last nights tipple was Veuve Clicquot NV with Bresoala. Don't normally drink Grande Marque Champagnes but I bought a couple of cases of this a while back when it had a third off the RRP.
