Purple or Blue??
I went to look at this model today as blue and silver sounds wonderful. However, when looking at the dial in person, the numbers looked much more purple or lilac than blue to me. If the numbers were a real blue or darker blue, I think it would be a stunner. As is, would not work for me. Not a fan of purple.

This arrived today and am really happy with it...the shiny fluted bezel is just awesome!
Only time for quick iPhone shot...better ones to follow over the weekend. |

Thanks Eric, i thought my DSSD was the last purchase of the year but managed to squeeze another one in. I originally was going to get a DJI as I wasn't keen on fluted bezels, but when I saw this it was too good to resist. The only other non sports Rolex I've owned is the milgauss. Personally I think the DJII wears a lot better due to the thinner and lighter case giving it a nice balanced feel. Overall a bug thumbs up!

Good stuff Mike. There is always room for an extra one isn't
The DJII isn't really bigger than any of the 40mm sports models and it wears surprisingly well too. |

I've taken quite a lot of pics but have yet to pick some good ones to upload. Well, here are two pics to share for now... By the way, have you cold-storaged your DJII after your buying spree of the Sub-Cssss? |

I went into an AD today to look at DJ's and had the chance to see the DJII for the first time. As is often the case with watches, it doesn't look near as big in person as it does in pics. It is big, especially compared to the 36mm version, but I liked it. I still have some issues with the size of the fluted bezel, but I can see why people like it.
BUT, for my needs (and wallet), the 36mm suits me better, and that'll be the way I go. |

The same thing happened to me. I never cared about the DJ II, and never took the time to check it out, not even when I was at ADs. But this topic drawn my attention. So many beautiful shots here. And now I'm flirting with the idea of getting either a blue sticks or rhodium DJ II. It's dangerous to visit this forum

New year new hope! We have just survived another (Great) year!
For those who are still considering a DJII, sometimes you just have to take the PLUNGE |
