No wonder these watches are hard to find... everyone's got one.

My AD told me they get a shipment of 3-4 randomly from rolex every 4-5 months and that within a week they are usually gone. Now we know where they go! Haha

After 500K+ mi. on my last carry-on, my one wheel just split. After buying a BLNR and then learning more about its history with Pan Am and realizing how much I travel for work got me thinking about pilot tools. I now know what watch a pilot would wear, what carry-on would they use? I had assumed it was Travelpro, but after research came across the Purdy/Luggageworks Stealth 22". Who ever heard of that? Anyway, I have one now and it is industrial strength and definitely what the pilots use. Designed for 5 - 10 years of daily flying and complete with repairable/replaceable parts by the bag's owner. I have a growing appreciation for fit-for-purpose tools. This idea is what helped me pick the BLNR over the LN, as the idea of separating day and night with 2 colors on the bezel was just 1 more step up in functionality, no matter how small.

The hint of blue makes it stand out.

Luggagework's Stealths are the Rolexes of rollaboards. You may catch us nodding at you occasionally, thinking you're one of us jump seating in the cabin, and wondering why you didn't pop your head up front to say thanks for the ride.

That blue hand is essential to the balance of the watch for me, as without it the black dial and half black bezel is too much black on the watch and not enough blue.

Yup... I got 14 years out of my last Purdy Neat bag. This, with 1-3 airplane swaps a day, 2-4 days a week. It gets to the point where the ballistic nylon just starts to wear out at that stage. The frame and wheels could have made it another 20 years. In that 14 years, I did send it back to the factory once for a $100 re-furb.

I'm on my second one now. Flying wide-body is much easier on the bag. No plane swaps, and only 2-4 flights a week. This one will take me well through retirement and may even outlast me.

The downside is the weight. They are much heavier than the Travel Pro or Samsonite bags. Actually. the Costco roll on bags are popular too. They are guaranteed for years, when they break, guys just swap them out for a new one under warranty.

OK... It's a BLNR thread, so...

Guys, I just joined the club today! First Rolex and first watch of merit in any brand! I've been eyeing this since seeing a post from Basel when it was introduced. Took a while to convince myself to spend the money, but I'm so glad I did. Can't wait to wear this on a regular basis!
