Bloody hell, Patrick- the amount of times I've seen that pic and never spotted the cyclops. Nice one.

More than a SS Daytona but not more than a DD.

Comedian Nick DiPaolo wears a Rolex Submariner that comedian Chris Rock gave him as a gift after working with him. There is a funny engraving on the back too. Can't find it though.

I am surprised how many women like wearing the Rolex Submariner, Rolex Sea-Dweller, and Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA. I would have thought more women would like to wear more smaller or fancier watches than a big rugged watch like the Rolex Submariner. Anyway, I have mixed feelings when I see rich people wearing an expensive Rolex watch because they can. They seem to have no idea why they are great watches. After wearing a dive watch for awhile. You really don't want them to move around on your wrist a lot. I can see Steve McQueen had one of the best ways to wear his watches. He wore them on his right wrist and tight. I guess if you are an active person and you wear a watch that is meant to be used actively. You should wear it like you know how to wear it.

Gentlemen, I'm dissapointed, I know the pic has been seen a squillion times but...
How has this English gent (reasonably good on the guitar I hear - well he was at the last gig I went to) not yet appeared in this thread? Seem to remember some kind of Daytona connection Cheers |

The camera and lens are serious money, the lens looks like a 800mm f/5.6L IS + 1.4x converter and is probably paired with a Canon 1D mk4 body all in about $20.000..

Mr Clapton, a long time hero...
I bumped into him (literally) going into the toilets at Milan airport in the mid 90's - he actually said 'scuse' (I must have looked Italian - I was much younger then...) as we did the sideways shuffle to pass each other. Sadly there is no non-stalker way I know of to break into conversation in such a situation so I mentally captured the moment and carried on, he got into a Black Merc limo, I probably got into a Ford Focus hire car, a decade later I went to one of his concerts - to the best of my knowledge the closest I have been since.. But I do have my Daytona's Cheers |
