My wife wears and Explorer II and drives an Explorer. I'd say it doesn't get any more balanced than that.

Imo, VERY nicely done. Super clean and decent hp where you can actually drive it.

Is your vehicle and your Rolex a balance

Not all of us have wonderful cars to go with Rolexes! 2009 Chev Malibu, 200K miles on last legs. Rolex DJ 16233 (1991 X series) cheap for a Rolex, but probably worth more than the car!

At the moment I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi.
This used to be my pride and joy for a while. What a waste of money when I think about it. It was fast and all but I put in at least $100'000 that could have gone towards something else more useful. I sold it before relocating here for like $30'000
Anyway nowadays I am more responsible...not!!

I think the Explorer II and the FJ80 complement each other rather nicely. Both hold their value, last forever, are designed to go anywhere, and they cost about the same :) I got a steal on the LC from a neighbor who was in pretty bad shape.

The 951 that is currently garaged (unfortunately no pics easily ready) goes with the Black Bay Bronze (the bronze and silver rose complement one another I guess, and the angles just seem in line with one another).

I used to have this lovely Alfa Romeo:

but I sold it last year as I just wasn't using it any more. Only did about 3k miles in the last year that I had it - and most of that was a single trip to the south of France and back!

Now I have Triumph Tiger Sport to tool around on, but my wife has a C-Max to use as a family wagon which is very, very good at what it does. Dull, slow and unexciting, but a superb family hack.

A lot of people say that. Maybe I was lucky. But I had it from 10 months old to almost 5 years old, and did 40k in it. Needed a new battery and one parking sensor (under warranty anyway) - other than that it was utterly reliable. The newer ones are a huge improvement on the 70s to 90s rust buckets. My sister's VW Golf, on the other hand - what a pile of junk that turned out to be...

Italians are never change :-)
Rust isn t a problem electronic and suspension (wishbones)are the main issues.A friend of mine has a Maserati ,he is in service every month before he had an Aston never a single issue.
The only italian i m still buying is Gucci:-)
