That Cask 23 is a monster! I have several SLWC 23s vintages lying down, including the famed 1997s the arguably as good as the 73s! Def my ATFs. Also try the Fayes, and SLVs as well if you get the chance. I trade the Winiarski Family for Pinot Noir from our winery. Enjoy my friend! Cheers

As much as I wanted to like Stags Leap, I just couldn't get into it when out in Napa. I suppose that's one of the great things about wine -- there's something for everyone!

Have you heard about this cool new grape all the young kids are talking about called MAHL-BECK? I've got a bottle of that from 2014 I'll trade you for the '82 Mouton straight up. Mouton is a mixed up blend so you never know what you're getting. Plus, its too old and everyone says '82 was terrible.

All kidding aside, nice bottle.

Opened up this 14 Abstract (Orin Swift) for a movie with the Mrs... It's very good--- I think this one is better than their last vintage...

Simply...The Wine Thread

Fortune 1621 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2013 - Crafted by BRIAN MOX, the former winemaker at LEWIS CELLARS...

I would recommend it! Approx. $30 /btl

Has an aroma of blackberry, notes of blueberry, chocolate, caramel and hints of bacon and dried violet.

You will if you got last year my guess as I did just smaller allocation due to size.

Yes! I can't wait...

It's that time of year when I start making those decisions on what to add to the cellar --- it is SO difficult to choose --- usually always add the Hundred Acre, a little Harlan and Peter Michael and Bond along with the normal club shipments of Trefethen and Amizetta (one of my FAVORITES --- that I definitely recommend).

Fabulous Fortified.
For a fortified wine freak like me, this is heaven.
Rich and syrupy and bursting with flavor that lingers on the palate forever.

I had a sip of Pinot tonight. Is something wrong with me ? I thought it was weak, tasteless and had no taste all. Couldn't stand it !
