I'm trying to decide what to do with the "collection" for future acquisitions. I'm thinking about keeping only one or two "modern" watches and going for pre-1940 stuff. Still on the fence. I know it may be difficult to find ones in good shape, and I may have to do some modifications to make them wearable, but they're fascinating. Anyone with cash can walk into an AD and walk out with a watch, but these are different, not that I don't like the watch I bought from the AD :-). What do you guys think. Am I being stupid?

p.s. Doctor Linda, you do rock with those beautiful timepieces of yours. Elegant, great shape, and otherwise gorgeous.

Does anyone have a favorite pre-1940 watchmaker? I would really like to make sure mine are oiled and properly ready to work before I wind them up and expect them to be happy. Thanks!

Whew! That's good to know. I thought I wasn't being invited because my pieces were too mundane! Oh, wait...I guess that still could very well be the case...

Thanx mikkibarry, the only TAG I have left is my midsize series F1, what I don't like about TAG's is that they don't keep their value, swapped a WAC 1110 for my Oysterdate.
