!

Well, I have had lots of great cars in my day - and a few trucks as well - now I am car-free! Living a very simple lifestyle, and I can walk to work! I don't even own a bicycle! Couldn't even afford a car now if I wanted one! I was born in 1949, and growing up, especially in the 60's and 70's, was when I thought cars were really exciting! You could really tell one model from the other then, now so many of them look "generic" to me.
In any case, give me an Aston Martin DBS, and the only reason I want it, is so I can get the limited edition Jaeger LeCoultre watch that is only available to owners of that car!
I was talking to one of my best friends today. He currently has 3 cars, a new Mercedes SLK, a Mercedes Smart Car, and a Miata. We jokingly talked about the fact that he is selling the Smart Car, and what he is asking for it, is less than what my Milgauss is worth! He recently "splurged", and spent $200. on a Hugo Boss watch! He just rolls his eyes every time I get a new watch. But being the dear friend he is, he never criticizes, just gives me a hard time, and I know he is happy for me.
My response to people who just do not understand, is that a fine watch is simply the finest piece of artwork or jewellery that money can buy, going far beyond the aesthetic pleasures.
Cheers,
Carl

Of course, I constantly joke to my friends and quote exactly what my signature says:

A 2005 GMC 4 wheel drive heavy duty pickup goes with any Rolex. On the other hand when I drive my wife's Corolla I feel a little over dressed.

Had a 73 mach 1 as well, got rid of them all, and the three cars I have now are all broken down! At least I have a few horses I can ride.

Icon14 Why have one watch...

I have a couple I really like

When I get in the mood for some wind

Then these guys always like to go for rides

Then there's my trusty trucks

We have to have options like we have watches Right?

We have the choice to buy more watches for the task or desired appearance or need if we use them as a tool or reminder.... I love to have vehicles that fit what mood i'm currently in so I like keeping choices around.

Rolex SS Date, black face, leather strap (wine colored) 1969. Omega Deville blue face (1970 ).
About to purchase new Explorer 1 to go with my Mercedes 350 SLK as the hands match the car!...Is that a good excuse?

Thank you Sandy.

BMW made a limited run of these Mamola Reps as a "thank you" to Randy Mamola when he left BMW as a rider to join ESPN as a Reporter / Commentator.

I love the bike.
