It has a very refreshing flavor of pineapple. I drink it on the rocks. There is more than just one flavor… Yes, it is great when it is hot outside!

Anyone had the Blanton’s straight from the barrel?

I’m wondering if it’s 1. just a much more intense version of the standard, and 2. how’s the mouthfeel? I’m looking for oily…

Is there anything you’d recommend that fits what I’m looking for? A thicker mouthfeel and a similar flavor profile to Buffalo Trace… that’s also reasonably obtainable lol.

I was thinking maybe 1792 full proof…

Agreed. The SOB is the best expression, by a wide margin.

I sometimes luck out and find a reasonably priced bottle when I am travelling for work, but it's been a while since I found one

Unfortunately not. Seems like everyone who has it stateside wants top dollar.

I've had the best luck buying in Europe and bringing it back to the US.
