It’s a matter of time before the dealers need a pee. Pretty sure they won’t want to do it in their pants. Just be patient

I know most don’t care for him, but Paul Pluta just returned from Hong Kong and said dealers there are telling him greys are sitting on inventory rather than selling at a loss. Also, no one is buying gold watches. At some point someone will blink.

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if dealers were posting high but then negotiating. Sounds like they’re not. I’ll keep waiting before purchasing and making offers.

Moda. 116710BLNR are trending around low to high 13s, depending on condition. 116610 high tens to 11ish, again depending on condition. The hype train does not like the 11 series as they're superseded. You'll probably find a little wriggle room on these too, although the margins on moda appear to be razor thin.

It's a facebook group where dealers used to sell between themselves. It's now become mainly a B2C sales group or a place for smaller backback resellers to pick up stock. It's very much buyer beware situation, but I have bought numerous pieces there with no hassle at all. Do your due diligence and you'll get close to true market price.

BLRO for $15.5k is only $4k over retail after tax. Things are getting interesting.

Prices slump by up to 50% for discontinued Rolex watches (Watchpro)

So we finally stopped pretending the market price was in the mid 60s for a 15202ST blue full set. Also dislike all the sellers who try to obscure they are selling a .02 instead of a .01

2 days ago "cheapest around 55.9K 2014/fullset
3 days ago 67K 2019/fullset
August 31st no bumps no interest 47k watch only "scratches on rotor and needs service"
August 30th - has been slashing pretty steadily and is now at 54.5 shipped 2015/fullset
August 28th - was @ 66k pretty sure fake marked as sold
August 28th - Cheapest one anywhere! still at 59.5K
August 27th - 64K shipped 2021/watch+card

This really tumbled over the last 10 days. So many of these high flying APs are hard to buy they've dropped a ton and I don't see how you can catch the falling knife. (yet)

After the Grey dealer margin, doesn’t leave much margin for flippers. Could this lead to more availability for genuine buyers?

A lot of these losers are working off a combination of 100 dollars, -1 link, and +200 for the box.

It's gonna have to get tighter than that.

Forgot to say THANK YOU!

Not much longer and it's almost a wash considering tax... Gap closing steadily

No worries mate! Always happy to post a quick update when I can. The general trend is down, albeit slowly for the last few months. With any luck we'll start to see some of the really popular pieces becoming more available within the dealer network over the next year to 18 months.

No date subs seem to be coming through pretty regularly, as do the green bezel LVs. Ask is down significantly on these ones over the last 6 months.

I agree things seem to be getting a little… “less crazy” shall we say, but I still don’t see anything in the display cases at ADs. I think Grays are definitely getting easier, but the real indicator IMHO is when we do the aforementioned “walk in” and buy whatever we want.

I’m probably dreaming to ever see that again in my lifetime…. Am I?

Unfortunately, my crystal ball has been repossessed by my creditors. However, history has shown that hype based on fashion trends is cyclical. There is no reason to think that mass manufactured watches made by Rolex will forever be waitlisted. It may be another 2-5 years, but my bet is it will happen.

I picked up a 116519LN for 4k below what most greys are asking for and on par with retail + tax. People are starting to get antsy

In LA/OC plenty in the display cases. None for sale. Was at Torneau last week at South Coast Plaza Newport Beach. Had full displays all exhibition. They're expanding from just Torneau to Torneau by Bucherer at that location in a bigger space.. SA mentioned there is no "quote, unquote list". Took my name down anyway.. We'll see what if anything materializes.

rolex prices are down 2% in the last 30 days and 41% from the peak.

looks like the sell now being proffered by 2ndary resellers is "buy the hype model of GMTs, daytona SS and skydweller blue."

the rest of the models are only LISTING at MSRP plus tax combined.

it's over. slow bleed rest of the year. it will never be back to a 29k ss blro or a 52k white ss daytona. now when i mean never in 50 years with inflation maybe.

model is now a dog for resellers. in fact it was the HYPE a few years ago but now it is the yellow gold that is the hottest model.

i am not saying the model is a dog. it is a nice watch hope you are enjoying it.

Would be good to see which grey dealers are highly leveraged and now going to be burnt to the ground…..
