Agree. Tides are turning and true enthusiasts will benefit.

They will need to bring in price cuts now.

Absolutely right. It's like none of these brands learned anything from the panerai debacle.

Haven’t seen these that low. I actually like them and am kicking myself for not pulling the trigger ha!
this was the 37.5mm was it not? too small IMO. I've seen the 42s going for mid 30s which is still a massive discount to the 56K retail price. I personally love the rose gold variant, may have to pick it up when it hits 30K

seen two 5980r offered for around 85K in the past week. These were going to double that in Q1 2022 and around $110K earlier this year. If it drops further may have to pick one up

Wow, didn’t know they were that low. That’s pretty much retail + tax

Yup, the fall has been magnificent, but there's a wide range out there from $80K to $110K right now and the precious metal variants are always the first to fall hard. resellers are gonna dump their inventory this winter and flippers have lost their profit margin on all these pieces with the exception of the remaining steel variants.

This is the key as we probably all know. Those 10 year waitlists evaporate pretty quickly once the margin disappears for flippers.

Was this was new unworn models? Where do you see a 2022 unworn model in full set?

Just sold for 36.8k. If this is the very first piece's standard hype price, it's going to be a dramatic fall for the daytonas. Especially the 11 series.

That is encouraging. I figured the early 12 series would for sure go over 40K. While I don't believe it will ever drop below 20K, mid 20s for a white dial would make it compelling.

There’s been one sitting at $28,950 for a few weeks at Nashville watch.
Getting closer.

I just saw that, it's a 116500 though. I have to admit that I really like the larger lugs on the new 12 series.

The corrected right lugs of the 12xxx silently exposes Rolex’s lug “symmetry” of older steel and yg models.

Takuya has a brand new 43mm AP RO Offshore (stainless one) on his site for $36.8k full set. Wow have these fallen. Laughable the guys in Moda who are still listing these for over $40k.

How long till AP drops the price on these at retail?

A lot of the prices on Moda have become laughable.

I thought they were a little expensive when they came out, but they were definitely selling at retail before. If I were AP I would consider reducing production and pausing price hikes for a year or two, since they have a little more flexibility on quarterly sales than public companies. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

Agree that for a time these were going for retail (I’d say like 2 years ago when they were MSRP under 40k). But after taxes this is like an almost $50k watch. I really like these offshores but not for that price. 30k is reasonable to me for the stainless one on takuyas website.

Offshores stay dogs on resale. I bet that would change if they downsized them.

New 126500LN black dial just sold for 32.5. I'm honestly surprised it went for that much, even if it is the first.

Hard to rationalize the first sales of a new release. Some guys will jump at the opportunity to overpay and have “the first”. Doesn’t mean much imo
